The Tommy Hilfiger Group, which is wholly owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], celebrated Tommy Hilfiger’s 20th anniversary in Mexico with an exclusive red carpet event at the historic Ex Convento de San Hipólito hosted by Mr. Hilfiger on April 10, 2014. In honor of this milestone and to celebrate the To Tommy, From Zooey capsule collection of dresses and accessories, actress, musician and style icon Zooey Deschanel and actress, singer and Latin beauty Thalia were among the guests in attendance.
Located in Mexico City’s historic center, the Ex Convento de San Hipólito features contemporary décor set against the building’s restored colonial architecture. Guests enjoyed prep-inspired cocktails while renowned New York City-based DJ and record producer DJ Cassidy entertained guests with a lively mix of American classics and chart-topping hits throughout the evening.
The brand’s 20th anniversary in Mexico will be complemented by a range of special initiatives throughout the year. The Hilfiger Collection, including styles shown on the runway during New York Fashion Week, will be available to consumers in Mexico for the first time at select Tommy Hilfiger stores beginning May 2014; a national advertising campaign launched in April 2014 with a specially designed commemorative logo honoring Tommy Hilfiger’s 20th anniversary in Mexico; and Tommy Hilfiger will launch True to the Blue, a capsule collection of denim, chambray and indigo sportswear pieces, at select Tommy Hilfiger stores on April 14, 2014, honoring the brand’s rich heritage and early influences.
