Pre-session exfoliation is the first step to achieving flawless spray tanning results. It is best to clear away dry, dead skin cells with a sulfate-free scrub from Norvell. For those needing a little buff, try Renewing Sunless Exfoliator or for those who want a deeper rub, try Intensive Detoxifying Salt Scrub. Go beyond buffing, by using the eXmitt. This will polish and prep the pH balance of the skin to keep orange undertones at bay.


Avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products or in-shower moisturizers. Be sure to complete any waxing, shaving or use of depilatory creams no later than 24 hours prior to your session.



As you prepare for your Norvell sunless tan, be sure to wear loose fitting, dark clothing and no jewelry. Tight clothing can run or smear bronzers, especially around the knees, elbows, chest and waist. Before you head to your appointment, there are some important “don’ts” you won’t want to ignore. Deep penetration of the solution is key to a beautiful lasting color.


Don’t create a sunless barrier by applying anything to the skin. Avoid applying lotions, creams or perfumes prior to your session. Even use deodorant sparingly.  Don’t wear any makeup to your sunless tan appointment, if unavoidable, remove prior to your spray tan.



Once dry, apply Post Sunless HydroFirm™ Moisturizing Spray to add moisture, seal sunless results and boost the DHA reaction. When showering after 24 hours, use pH Balancing Shower Cleanser.


Refrain from showering as long as possible, ideally for 24 hours. As with all DHA products, sunless color begins showing development approximately 4 hours post application and continues to darken for up to 24 hours. If you must shower before the 24 hours has lapsed, do so using a warm water rinse only. The use of soap can inhibit full development of DHA. Never fear, cosmetic surface bronzers will wash away during the first shower. Note :: Chlorine can cause premature fading of sunless results.

Urban Decay – The Ultraviolet Edge, Year 2 Of Women’s Empowerment


Imagine if you couldn’t write your own name?

Frightening, huh!? Now thanks to the awareness help raised around the launch of Urban Decay’s global initiative to empower women, The Ultraviolet Edge, in just the first year the brand was able to fund programs such as literacy classes – enabling many women to read and write their names for the first time.

In addition, the $528,000 raised and donated in 2015 provided services such as:

  • Microloans and business training for more than 1,000 Ugandan women through the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund, in addition to literacy programs and community leadership training
  • Legal services for 625 women in NYC through Her Justice, enabling them to take control of their lives, stabilize their families, and protect and care for their children
  • Education and empowerment for 180 Maasai girls in Kenya through the Kakenya Center for Excellence – the first and only primary school open to girls in the remote area of Enoosaen
  • Shelter for 500 women in the Orange County, CA area through Laura’s House, a shelter & support service organization for victims of domestic abuse

SKIN: The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder Beam Team was used to moisturize and illuminate the skin.

 FACE: The foundation base was a mix of Skin Glowing Balm in Wheat and Flash Illuminator in Morning Light to give a flawless, dewy finish.  Hi Lo Stylo was used to contour around her face, including the jawline, hairline and nose.

CHEEKS: The Barest Blush in First Lover

EYES:  First, Victor used The Edgiest Kohl Shadowstick in Black Viper in the outer and inner crease, and then applied The Edgiest Kohl Shadowstick in Guilt to the center of the eye.  He then applied the Dark Brown and Black from The Edit Eyeshadow Palette in the crease of the eye to further define the smoky eye, topping it off with the Silver Transformer all over.  He finished the eye with The Blackest Liner and The Edgiest Up & Out Double Mascara to define and lengthen her lashes.
